The Story

2024

The largest project we took on in 2024, this hilltop estate demanded precision from the ground up. We demolished and hauled away 4,000 square feet of travertine, carefully removing, labeling and storing every piece of millwork so it could return exactly where it belonged. Beneath the old floor we uncovered significant cracks in the slab, and those were repaired before any other work moved forward.

From the front of the house to the back, the slab ran anywhere from 1/16" to a full inch out of level across roughly 4,000 square feet. Every point was laser-mapped and gauge-marked, then primed and poured with Uzin self-leveling compound to create a truly flat base for the new floors.

A trusted hardwood partner installed the wood flooring, while I personally handled the bathrooms and laundry, setting natural stone with clean lines beneath the millwork I reinstalled. Outside, a new reinforced slab was formed and poured for the covered patio.

Demolition, slab repair, self-leveling, stone and millwork: one home, start to finish.
