The Story
June 2018
This remains one of the most extraordinary renovations I've ever completed.
What began as a straightforward master bathroom demolition quickly uncovered extensive water damage coming from two flat roofs. That discovery led to major structural repairs inside the home as well as a complete exterior re-siding. Once the scaffolding went up, the owners saw the opportunity and decided to add a new deck with sliding doors and large windows to capture the stunning views of Lake Washington.
In only 115 square feet we created a highly functional luxury space: a private tankless wall-mounted toilet, separate his-and-hers vanities, a freestanding tub, a curbless, fully enclosed steam shower complete with body jets and rain heads, and of course heated flooring throughout. The final result feels far larger and more refined than the original footprint ever suggested.
